Akure Youth Media acknowledges the participation of the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, at the official launch of the ICSS MSME Financing Scheme, alongside key institutions including Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Kaduna Business School, German Cooperation, and Jaiz Bank. The initiative represents a strategic effort to expand access to finance and structured support for young entrepreneurs across Nigeria.

In his remarks, the Minister emphasised that limited access to capital remains a major obstacle confronting young Nigerians with viable business ideas. He noted that while many youths possess creativity and determination, access to structured financing and enterprise support is critical to transforming ideas into sustainable ventures. He further highlighted the role of the Nigerian Youth Academy in equipping young people with practical skills, digital tools, and startup support necessary for long-term success.

The Minister also stressed the importance of sustained partnerships and collaboration between government and private sector actors to scale opportunities for youths nationwide. According to him, when young entrepreneurs are well prepared, properly structured, and connected to responsible financing, businesses grow, employment is generated, and confidence in youth enterprise is strengthened.
