Akure Youth Media reports that Hon. Prince Iteyemi Adegoroye has officially taken the oath of office as the Secretary to the Executive Chairman of Akure South Local Government, marking another significant step in his public service career.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by political leaders, stakeholders, friends, and members of the local government administration, who gathered to witness the assumption of office by the newly appointed Secretary.
Speaking at the occasion, the Executive Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Hon. Dr. Fasua Gbenga Timothy, described Iteyemi Adegoroye as a loyal and dependable individual whose commitment to service has consistently earned him greater responsibilities. He recalled that Iteyemi started as his Personal Assistant in 2024, before his elevation to the position of Chief of Staff in 2025. According to the Chairman, his loyalty, competence, and willingness to work have now earned him another elevation as Secretary to the Local Government.
Interestingly, the position is not entirely new to Hon. Adegoroye, as he previously served as Secretary to the Local Government before his appointment and subsequent elevation to the position of Chief of Staff and later his current role.
Also present at the ceremony was Hon. Adeola Fynch, who previously served as Secretary to the Local Government before resigning to contest for the Ondo State House of Assembly seat on the platform of the APC. She expressed confidence in Hon. Adegoroye's capacity to effectively handle the responsibilities of the office, describing him as a tested and trusted hand who understands the workings of the local government administration.
Akure Youth Media congratulates Hon. Prince Iteyemi Adegoroye on his assumption of office and wishes him wisdom, strength, and a successful tenure. His progression from Personal Assistant to Chief of Staff and now Secretary to the Local Government is a testament to the value of loyalty, dedication, and effective service.
