The Federal Ministry of Youth Development has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening partnerships with private sector organizations to expand opportunities for young Nigerians.

This was made known during a meeting between the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, and a delegation from Zenith Bank Plc, as part of ongoing engagements aimed at promoting youth development and economic inclusion.

Speaking during the meeting, Olawande emphasized the importance of collaboration between government and private institutions in addressing youth unemployment and creating pathways for economic growth.

According to the Minister, the Ministry has continued to pursue strategic partnerships focused on entrepreneurship, agriculture, skills acquisition, financial inclusion, and job creation for young people across the country.

He highlighted some of the Ministry's existing collaborations, including its partnership with Providus Bank to support youth-led startups and entrepreneurship initiatives. He also referenced the Youth in Agribusiness Land Trust Fund programme being implemented with FCMB to improve access to agricultural opportunities for young Nigerians.

The Minister further noted that the Ministry's partnership with Zedcrest Group is designed to equip youths with employable skills and improve workforce readiness.

During discussions with Zenith Bank, both parties explored areas of potential collaboration aimed at empowering young Nigerians through entrepreneurship support, skills development programmes, financial inclusion initiatives, and employment opportunities.

Olawande stated that investments in youth development remain critical to Nigeria's future prosperity, stressing the need for sustained partnerships that deliver measurable impact.

The meeting forms part of the Ministry's broader efforts to engage key stakeholders in advancing policies and programmes targeted at improving the welfare and economic prospects of young Nigerians.

As youth unemployment and access to opportunities remain major concerns across the country, stakeholders have continued to advocate stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors to unlock the potential of Nigeria's growing youth population.

AYM reports that the Ministry has maintained that it will continue to pursue initiatives and partnerships aimed at creating an enabling environment for young Nigerians to develop their talents, build sustainable livelihoods, and contribute to national development.
